Ishaan Khatter plays the role of a post office supervisor Galileo, who is bored of his job. He is an avid fan of supernatural and fantasy fiction in comics and books. He and his friend Major, who claims to be an army major, acquire the powers to see ghosts and ghouls. Galileo has his first supernatural encounter with a cute ghost girl, who gives him the idea to become a ghost hunter while his friend Major is scouted for the same profession by a ghost hunter guru. However, the ghost hunter guru does not believe in their powers and creates a rivalry between the friends. A chance encounter with a rather hot bhatakti -aatma- results in the friends being scouted by a gang of ghost hunters, led by the mysterious and surely evil tantrik Aatmaram. Scared, the friends soon learn that they must help regain their respect among the ghosts and ghouls. They also have to foil the plans of Aatmaram for some reason. Along the way, they will also help a few lost souls achieve salvation and save them from ghosts.
The movie begins with a ghostly encounter at a post office between a post master and a ghost. The post master asks her if she needs to lodge a complaint, but she replies that she wants to be sent to the visa department. After she leaves, the post master looks back and sees her walking. This incident occurs often during the movie and the character of a post master is shown throughout the movie.
This encounter is followed by another one in the affair of the ghost house. Galileo has found a haunted house and he makes a deal with the owner of the haunted house. The owners are married with a child and their mother is frightened of ghosts. They want to move out of the haunted residence. Galileo convinces them to enter the haunted house and they do. All of a sudden, they see the antichrist who mockfully follows them along with parents and daughter. But later, they get aid from the Hindu god Shiva.
