It's a bit different than Microsoft Office. In fact, it's somewhat easier to use than Microsoft Office. You might have to experiment with it a bit, but you'll be able to use it effectively. People who are familiar with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint will find it easy to switch to OpenOffice.org. It's also designed to allow you to quickly edit files with any application, regardless of their software.
Unfortunately, the other options are a pain to install if you don't already have Office 2003, and are only included as trial versions that expire in 30 days. (There's a 30 day trial option for Office 2007, but the limitations are not the same as Office 2003.)
I then opened Office 2003 and began Office 2003 Setup. I let it do its thing, and then I went through the steps for installing Access 2003, Word 2003, and Excel 2003. I let the setup run for a bit, and then I opened the Windows XP snap-in, and cut/pasted the Cameyo capture to my HDD.
I think this would be a great addition to the Cameyo-distro-builder, so I would like to see that happen. We could just copy the windows xp snap-in for Office 2003, and the Office 2007 snap-in. Give it a shot, and let us know what you think.
I created a brand new Word 2003 template for the MUI (Microsoft User Interface) folder. The template was quickly copied to a file, renamed to MUI.xml, and put in the root of the C:/Documents and Settings/myusername/ folder.
I then opened the C:/Documents and Settings/myusername/Local Settings/Templates/MUI.xml file and pasted the Microsoft Office 2003 MUI.xml, which I had captured earlier, into the MUI.xml file.
If you are using Office 2003, make sure to back up your original Office 2003 installed folder, as well as your Office 2003 shortcuts and files. You may also want to copy your Office 2003 folder and shortcuts to a USB thumbdrive, portable hard drive, or iPod. That way, you can remove the Office 2003 folder from your office 11 folder, remove your Office 2003 shortcut, and just have the office 11 folder on your hard drive. (You would only have to re-create your shortcut with the portable version of Office 2003 that you have installed on your USB thumbdrive, portable hard drive, or iPod.) 827ec27edc
