Irony Mod Manager is a new advanced mod manager for Paradox Games, it started out as a Stellaris oriented Mod Manager at first with plans to add additional games later. Not all of the advanced Stellaris equivalent features might be available for most supported games but that might change depending on community support in these games. In order to have a fully operational conflict solver Irony needs to understand the game structure and whether certain game folders utilize FIOS\LIOS rules.

Updated on August 20th, 2022, by C.M Edwards: XCOM 2 continues to stand at the peak of RPGs with thousands of fans that have kept the franchise alive for over five years. The top-down turn-based action game allows players to face off against the dreaded alien menace trying to take over the world and has a large amount of content to keep players invested. There have been numerous accounts that Take Two, the studio that owns the XCOM franchise, is in the process of creating a new addition after Marvel's Midnight Sons is released. XCOM 2 also has a dedicated modding community that constantly pushes out new downloadable additions to the game via NexusMod manager and Steam Workshop. Because of the hard workers within the community, players can continuously jump back into XCOM 2 and experience a completely different game. More and more mods are released for XCOM 2 consistently and are worth a try if looking to get back into the game.
This is done by MO's use of a virtual file system (VFS) rather than placing the files directly into the game's Data folder like other mod managers do. The VFS allows one to create several different profiles with different mods installed in each profile without messing with anything in the actual game's folder structure. The VFS is presented to the game at launch and only the "winning" files are presented. Therefore, if you have two mods which both provide file "xyz.dds", only the file with the higher priority (lower on the mod list in the left pane) will be presented to the game at runtime.
Yes, but doing so on the same save will still present issues just like it would with any other mod manager or manual installation. Each MO profile should have it's own, separate save (you can prevent cross contamination of saves by turning on "local savegames" so you will only see the saves for that profile). However, one way around this is to create a "vanilla" save. That vanilla save can be used across all profiles (keep "local savegames" off for this). For example, start a new game with only the mods stalled that would be basic to all your profiles which you would never uninstall (such as SKSE, USLEEP, UHRP, etc). Then play through the Helgen intro and save after the cave exit. This save would be able to be used on all profiles.
That said, there are some mod management tools available that help in specific games. If your game of choice has enough mods, chances are someone has developed a manager for them. Here are a few popular ones:
ModDB is a website like Nexus, though there is nothing stopping you from downloading mods from ModDB and then managing them with Mod Organizer 2, though it lacks direct plugins for mod managers. As a website, there are pros and cons it has versus Nexus Mods, with the main benefit being better download speeds compared to free Nexus Mods users, but some may find Nexus easier to use, especially mod authors. Of course, you can use both!
The deployment JSON file is essential for the operation of the Vortex mod manager. You may encounter the error under discussion if the said Json file is corrupt. In this context, deleting the JSON file may solve the problem.
