Before you begin designing an object with vectors you may want to make sure that all the paths are closed, straight or include no curves. You can view the Paths and Curves in your drawing by using the Show Paths and Show Curves button, just above the Draw button. The Curves button is just below the Show Paths button.
For consistency Vector tools can be accessed directly from the context menu or using the design toolbar which appears when the Vector toolbar is activated. Additionally the 'UnDesign Vector Toolbox' can be used to quickly select and create vectors in the same way as the drawing tools. This toolbox is split into four areas. The first area contains 'Edit' commands which allow the user to modify the existing vectors. The second allows the user to add vectors to the work area. The third contains the 'Load' commands to add new vectors and the fourth contains the 'Draw' commands which can be used to add vectors to the work area.
The Vector Editor is also designed to be an extremely fast way to edit a large number of vector parts. It is lightning fast to load and edit files with many thousands of part elements and maintains its speed even with many parts open at once.
The Vector Editor's workspace is designed around the Vector Tool Palette, with a single line on the left that opens the palette. In addition it has a toolbar of buttons that maintain the same layout as the tool palettes and workspace. Some of the vector tools are also available from the toolbar.
